In order for the list processing software to
understand the following command, you must send it in PLAIN
TEXT (ASCI or ANSI). That means no html, no formatting,
no fancy fonts, no colors. Different programs require different
methods for turning off html and other kinds of formatting.
After you have configured your e-mail software to send PLAIN
TEXT, then clicking on this link will create the proper
e-mail to remove you from the list:
If you wish to compose the command by hand, these are the
rules:
1. Send the message to: discussion-request@nsrca.org
2. Leave the subject line blank.
3. In the body of the message on the first line type two
words:
leave discussion
4. Set your software to send PLAIN TEXT (ASCII or ANSI).
5. Send the message.
If setting your software to plain text and clicking on
the link above does not remove you from the list, then click
here and request to leave the discussion:
List Problems.
Plain text contains only letters, numbers
and symbols. What you see is what is sent. Here is a message
in plain text:
Hi
all,
I've
been trying to get this old account deactivated and thought
I did, till I returned to the hundreds of e-mails. I've
done everything right (as far as I know) but it won't
cancel it from this account. Any ideas?
Thanks.
Text that is formatted (rich text format,
html, enriched, etc.) has hidden codes in it that tell the
receiving software about font size, color, images, links,
and the like. Here is the source code for the message above.
All of this stuff is sent with the message and confuses
the list server we use:
