Faith on Fire: Set the World Ablaze
- Feast of the North American Martyrs: Saint John de Brébeuf, Saint Isaac Jogues, and their companions. "The blood of martyrs is the seed of the Church."
- Year of Faith: "I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing! There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division" (Lk 12:49-51).
- Paradox: the world is starving for God's love, but refuses to eat what is set before it.

Judgment by Fire
Water made by God, I purge you, too, of evil,
in the name of God the Father almighty,
in the name of Jesus Christ His Son our Lord,
and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Become now water blessed to banish all power of the enemy,
and to conquer and dispel that enemy himself with his fallen angels,
by the power of the same Lord Jesus Christ,
who shall come to judge the living and the dead
and the world by fire.
