"The fact that all Christian faithful have the right to make known their needs and desires to their pastors, to manifest their opinions on matters which pertain to the good of the Church, and to receive assistance from their pastors out of the Church's spiritual gifts — along with several other rights — clearly shows that the newest code has great potential for significantly and positively affecting the ecclesial community."[1]
