Drove through Arkansas and Tennesee and saw lots of flooding. Farmers fields under 3 feet of water. Huge expanses of water where it should not be. Drove through smokey mountain park in NC and stopped at a gem mine to check it out, kind of hokey, accidentally set off car alarm in the quiet parking lot - beat it hastily out of there. went into Georgia a tad, then back into NC to stay at Andy's trout farm and resort. Am sure gas fumes in cabin would smother us by morning. The views and the rushing creek right off the porch were awesome. Cabin was roomy and had couch and recliner, but was still less than resortful.
