Helpful Witness Syndrome

We had a man volunteer to help us search. The price was not named. He went to BYU (he says). We met him at the High Court. He is working on a land dispute that was too Fijian for me to understand.

Another man overheard me talking at the Fiji National Archive. He "remembered" the discovery of a "little coffin with bones in it" at a girl's school. He came to visit us one night and had a dozen different tasks for us to undertake. We declined his offers of help as politely and firmly as we could.

Amelia madness drives us all. We all want to be "the one who found Amelia." But some witnesses are more helpful than others ...
