Prayer to St. Martin de Porres
To you Saint Martin de Porres
we prayerfully lift up our hearts
filled with confidence and devotion.
Mindful of your unbounded and helpful charity
to all levels of society
and also of your meekness and humility of heart,
we offer our petitions to you.
Pour out upon our families
the precious gifts of your solicitous and generous intercession;
show to the people of every race and every color
the paths of unity and of justice;
implore from our Father in heaven
the coming of his kingdom,
so that through mutual benevolence in God
We may increase the fruits of grace
and merit the rewards of eternal life.
Amen.
O God, who led Saint Martin de Porres
by the path of humility to heavenly glory,
grant that we may so follow his radiant example in this life
as to merit to be exalted with him in heaven.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
- St. Martin of Charity, pray to Jesus for me.
- Saint of the Broom, pray to Jesus for me.
Prayer to St. Martin of Tours
Father, by his life and death,
Martin of Tours offered You worship and praise.
Renew in our hearts the power of Your love,
so that neither death nor life may separate us from You.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.
Amen.
Blessed Saint Martin, you were born in a pagan family,
but from your childhood you were chosen to be a Prince of the Church.
As Bishop of Tours,
you redeemed and liberated many souls from satanic forces
through your prayers, austerities and blessings.
We humbly ask for your intercession before Our Lord Jesus Christ
because we want to be worthy of the grace and mercy of the Holy Spirit
that leads us from darkness to the light of the eternal kingdom, for ever and ever.
Amen.
St. Martin of Tours,
pray to Jesus for us.
Blessed St. Martin of Tours,
obtain for us not only forgiveness,
but also a spirit of love towards our neighbor
enabling us to be compassionate.
Obtain for us the grace to love all people as brothers and sisters
with a pure and disinterested heart.
May we, like you, one day enjoy the blessed vision of God
forever and ever.
Amen.
Favorite prayer of Bl. Rupert Mayer, SJ (Nov. 3)
Lord, be it done unto me according to Your will.
May I walk as You will.
Let me know what you will!
Lord, accomplish what You will when You will,
today and always.
Lord, I wish to accept whatever you will
because what You will is always best for me.
Let me belong to you, then do with me as You will.
Lord, all that You will is right;
the fact that You will it gives me courage.
My heart rests safely in Your hands!
