A listener asked, "How can I explain to my children when God says 'No' to our prayers?"

The answer I wish I had given: "We can't explain that. We're not God. Only He can persuade your children that 'No' was the perfect, loving answer in this situation. We have to want Him more than we want anything from Him--health, prosperity, human affection, security, the comforts that earthly life can offer."
