I don't think the Church set out to devote nine days of prayer to two St. Martins.

Prayer to St. Martin de Porres for Humility
O God, Who have given us in Your Humble Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, the model of all virtue and perfection, grant us the virtue of humility. We think so little of You because we are so full of self. We cannot love You more until humility shows us our own nothingness and makes us rejoice in our complete dependence upon You.
You have given to the world a glorious apostle of humility, St Martin de Porres. Guide us by his example and strengthen us through his intercessions in our efforts to conform our hearts to the humble Heart of Your Crucified Son.
Renew, O Lord, in these days, when pride and forgetfulness of You are so widespread, the wonders which You did perform through Your humble servant, Martin de Porres, during his lifetime. We pray that all the world may know of St Martin and of the surpassing value of the virtue of humility. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer to St. Martin of Tours
Father, by his life and death Martin of Tours offered You worship and praise.
Renew in our hearts the power of Your love, so that neither death nor life may separate us from You.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Blessed Saint Martin, you were born under pagan ways, but since Your childhood You were chosen to be a Prince of the Church and, as Bishop of Tours, many souls were redeemed and liberated from the satanic forces through Your prayers, austerities and blessings.
We humbly ask for Your intercession before Our Lord Jesus Christ because we want to be worthy of the grace and mercy of the Holy Spirit that leads us from darkness to light in the eternal kingdom, for ever and ever. Amen.

Blessed St. Martin of Tours, obtain for us not only forgiveness, but also a spirit of love towards our neighbor enabling us to be compassionate.
Obtain for us the grace to love all people as brothers and sisters with a pure and disinterested heart.
May we, like You, one day enjoy the blessed vision of God forever and ever. Amen.
