Pick up your cross

Matthew 10:38

"And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me."

Matthew 16:24:

“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."

Mark 8:34:

“Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."

Luke 9:23:

“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me."

Luke 14:27:

"And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple."

Mark 10:21:

“One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come [later addition: 'take up the cross,'] and follow Me.”
