Before 'n' After--page 3

Chuck's Cub

After FONRA in 2000,
Chuck gave me his Yellow Cub.
I decorated it.

I broke it on the second flight.

This was a two-hour weaver.
After 40 more flights or so,
the plane moved to Dan Deakin's house.
His son helped him do a Prime Time Landing
with his former Cub.

The Fun Bat and the War Bird

Jeff Liddell and I flew combat at Smith Field.

I don't have any Before pictures.

Here are the Afters.

My FunBat (my first combat plane):

Jeff's Corsair:

Next time we both cut each other's ribbon,
I'm not going to say,
"Let's fly at each other."

Orange Crush

I'm not going to say it to Bill, either.

Orange Crush was my first George Barth Gremlin (GBG).
I replaced the demolished wing.
Then I broke everything during a 7-plane scramble.

The Green Meanie

This is my second GBG.

This is 40 flights or so before I crashed it.

Before the final landing,
I flew it into the trees near the Knights of Columbus.
Then I cartwheeled it.

I guess one or the other event
broke a tooth in the servo.

That's the only reason I can think of
for why it came down so hard.

Photos still in camera.

Someday I'll learn how to add music to my pages.

Meanwhile, you might want to hum a few bars of

"When will he ever learn?

When will he eeee-verrr learn?"
