Wing and Rotor Information

     Monthly Meetings

Except for some summer meetings, we normally meet at 7:30 PM on the first Friday of each month at Island United Presbyterian Church, 1822 Huth Road, Grand Island, New York.

From Interstate 190, take Exit 19 / Whitehaven Road.

Turn east on Whitehaven.

At the first light, turn left on Baseline Road.

Follow Baseline for 2 miles.

Turn right on Huth.  The Church is on the right-hand side in about 0.3 of a mile.

Flying Field at Reservoir State Park

We normally fly at Reservoir Park on the boundary line between Niagara Falls and Lewiston.  People might be found at the Park any day of the week, but the largest number generally gather on Saturday and Sunday mornings, weather permitting.

From Interstate 190, take Exit 24 / Witmer Road.

Turn east on Witmer.

Within a very short distance, turn left into the first parking lot.  We usually fly from the middle of the field beyond the softball diamonds.

Flying Field at Beaver Island State Park

From Buffalo, take the 190 North over the first Grand Island Bridge ($0.50 toll).

Take the second exit for Beaver Island State Park.

Follow the road to the park (several miles).

When you near the park, you will go around a traffic circle.

From the park entrance, it is one-half mile to the parking lot where we fly.

Follow the signs toward the Beach Marina.  When you reach the third sign, turn left into the parking lot.  Which parking lot we fly from depends upon the wind direction and time of day.
